Stabbed in classroom

CHENNAI: A Class IX dropout from a private school in Kanchee-puram allegedly attacked his former teacher with a small knife in front of other students in a classroom on Thursday.

P Poongudi (28) was taking class in the first floor of Little Jacky Matriculation Higher Secondary School, when around 9.40 am the boy entered, claiming he had come to meet friends and left.

A few minutes later, he ran back into the classroom and stabbed the teacher. She tried to escape by running in-between the benches but he chased and stabbed her, this time injuring her on her head,” said a police officer.
