Vasireddy Venkatadri institute’s new centre

GUNTUR: Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology chairman Vasireddy Vidya Sagar on Thursday announced the launch of Venture Development Centre (VDC) in association with the Northeastern University of Boston, USA, and initiated by APSSDC on Nambur campus here.

Krishna P Nangegadda, director and senior professor of Northeastern University of Boston, said the International Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (i2E) was an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation for promoting the culture of innovation-based entrepreneurship among students.

The courses were planned through VDC across AP state and as a pilot project, only four centres were planned by the APSSDC.

He said a diploma course will be conducted and awarded for the enrolled students, jointly by Northeastern University and APSSDC.

APSSDC senior officer Akash Sinha, VVIT secretary Badari Prasad, principal Dr Y Mallikarjuna Reddy, Dean N Kumara Swamy and others participated.
