Deadline for Google Lunar XPrize finalized for March 31, 2018

BENGALURU: After 10 years of launching Google lunar XPrize intrepid with multiple delays of final launch date, the deadline has been finally set to March 31, 2018.
Along with Bengaluru-based Team Indus, the other top four finalists include US-based Moon Express, Japan-based HAKUTO, Israel-based Space IL and Synergy Moon.
Citing challenges, Rahul Narayan, founder, Team Indus, said, “It's very difficult to recruit people for such a mission. When we began we didn't know if we will survive. It's become easier now to fit in."
The winners will be declared based on who completes the mission first.Currently, more than 100 teams from India are a part of other Google Xprize competition.
