Investimonial, a start-up that offers a platform for both investors and entrepreneurs, has launched its operations.
The start-up aims to bridge the gap between genuine investors and aspiring entrepreneurs, according to company executives. It has been started by Ankit Totla, a Chartered Accountant, who has achieved a remarkable position in the field of financial consultancy, along with Himanshu Dhabalia, who has had stints with Aegis and Wipro Net, amongst others.
One of the features of Investimonial is that the entrepreneurs cannot start a conversation with investors unless the investors initiate the conversation. Once an investor matches with an entrepreneur, they can move to the next level, which is the in-portal conversation between the two. This conversation will include negotiations, making offers, counter offers, and if both the parties consent, then the deal is locked.
A methodology to track the promised payments is also built into the platform for transparency. "On an average, there are 19,000 startups in India but only a negligible number knows how to reach out to investors or chalk out the way forward to secure a meeting with an investor. Investimonial, with its expertise in the financial sector and entrepreneurial knowledge, helps the start-up find the appropriate investor and also assists them with legal, financial, marketing & IT fundamentals," said Totla.
