Ujjain: ‘Pashchim Railway Karmchari Parishad’ (PRKP) has demanded the revocation of transfer of three railway trackmen who have been transferred against the laws by senior officials of western railway.

PRKP local unit chief Kailash Bhawsar, informed that the representatives of PRKP led by general secretary Shivlahri Sharma, submitted a memorandum to Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya demanding cancellation of the unlawful transfer of trackmen and supervisor. Later, Malviya held a discussion with Ratlam DRM Manoj Sharma and issued orders for cancellation of the transfer. The trackmen were transferred by officials for informing chairman of the railway board Ashwini Lohani, about them being employed at private residences of some officials.

In view of increasing train accidents, the chairman had issued orders banning officials to employ railway workers at their residences and had also issued a Whatsapp number for registering complaints regarding the matter. When one of the worker complained about being employed at the residence of an official, he along with other two employees were transferred to Tajpur railway station and two others at Unhel station.
