The Audi A5 series has been launched today in India, the series which includes the A5 sedan, the A5 Cabriolet and the S5 has been launched at a price of Rs. 54.02 lakh-Rs 67.51 lakh and Rs 70.60 lakh, respectively. Part of Audi’s aggressive India plans the A5 series will be part of the 10 cars that they will launch this financial year. While the A5 Cabriolet will find a competitor in the C-Class cab, the A5 is yet unchallenged on Indian soil. This unique position is probably what Audi is banking on it to succeed.
The A5 twins will get matching 2-litre turbo-diesel engines. The Cabriolet, however, will come with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system getting it from rest 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 7.8 seconds. The S5, however, is a little more interesting in terms of power, fielding 349 hp and 500 Nm of torque from its V6 twin turbo motors.
