The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) that met on Wednesday decided to take the legal course against the formation of Farmers Coordination Committees as it feels that they were encroaching into the legal rights of the panchyats and were filled with TRS activists.
Parigi MLA T. Rammohan Reddy, who briefed the media after the meeting, said that the meeting discussed the ways to take on the government in the next Assembly sessions.
He said the party will force the government to give clarity on the impact of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Telangana.
He said the government has seriously ignored filling up the vacancies despite lakhs of youngsters having participated in the Telangana agitation for the same. All the schemes of the government like the fish supply and sarees distribution have ended up as scams reflecting the nature of the governance.
The legislator also demanded withdrawal of cases against women who burnt sarees questioning their quality.
The party’s Deputy Leader in the Council, P. Sudhakar Reddy said the CLP condemned the political killings in the State apart from the rising attacks on the government officials by the TRS leaders. The Congress will raise these issues in the next sessions apart from the corruption in the irrigation projects.
