Ujjain: The 3-day Malwa level tournament of yoga and kabaddi concluded with a prize distribution ceremony at the premises of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Mahakalpuram, on Wednesday. A total of 450 players of 42 teams from 14 districts, competed in kabaddi competitions and 50 players competed in yoga competitions. The winners will leave for Gwalior on Thursday for participating in the regional level tournament.
The competition was conducted as per the rules set for school games of India. In kabaddi competition in boys and girls under-14 categories, Ujjain bagged first position, while Khandwa came second in boys and Mandsaur in the girls categories. Himmat Singh Jamliya presented awards to winning teams. In under-17 category for boys, Shajapur came first and Mandsaur second, while in thegirls category, Khandwa came first and Shajapur second. Subhash Chandra Nagar gave awards to winning teams.
In under-19 teams, Indore won in the boys’ category, while Shajapur came second. In the girls category, Shajapur came first and Khandwa second. Ambaram Karada gave awards to winning teams. In yoga competitions, in the under-14 boys category Vaikunthnagar, Khandwa bagged first position and in the girls category Khategaon, Indore, bagged first prize. In theunder-17 boys and girls, Bhamgarh Mandsaur won bagged the first position.
