Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) today organised protest against poor quality of railway infrastructure in Mumbai. The rally started from Metro Theatre to Churchgate at 11.30 am sharp. However, Thackeray has not got the permission for the protest from the police.
The tight police security is arranged at Churchgate station. All the station are covered under barricades. MNS chief Raj Thackeray joined the rally later and also urged Mumbaikars to join the rally as well. He posted a message on his Facebook page to join the rally.
Raj Thackeray and his wife Sharmila Thackeray have reached the venue. There has been a delay because of the traffic snarls on their way. A stage has been set next to Railway Headquarter. Mumbai police has deployed personnel near the stage.
