Coimbatore college student held for possession of marijuana

The accused has been identified as Prabahkaran A of Theni. He is a second year student of bachelors in business administration (BBA).
A police officer said, "We stopped three youths riding on a tw0-wheeler on the Coimbatore- Sathyamangalam highway. On inquiries, we found that one of them, Prabhakaran, was in possession of marijuana. We have seized nearly 150g of marijuana from him."
Prabhakaran is said to be a regular user of marijuana, police said. "He had procured the drug while he visited home during the Ayudha Puja holidays," police said. He was living in a private hostel near Sankara Hospital.
Police has booked Prabhakaran under sections 20 and 24 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
