Davangere district received a total of 41.8 mm rainfall in October. The following is the taluk-wise break-up: Davangere 83.4 mm, Harihar 28.7 mm, Honnalli 38 mm, Chennagiri 41.9 mm, Harappanahalli 37.8 mm and Jagalur 16.6 mm.
24 houses were damaged by the rain and the loss has been estimated at ₹12 lakh. In Davangere town, storm water entered 1,065 houses in low-lying areas and in Harappanahalli town, storm water entered 36 houses. The district administration has opened gruel centres for these residents.
