Just one day after Reliance Jio extended its Rs 149 plan, Bharti Airtel has come up with a new offer under which it is offering unlimited calls and 1 GB or gigabyte of data priced at just Rs 199. This new plan which is now available on the official website of Airtel – airtel.in has a validity of 28 days. “Unlimited All Local & STD Calls and 1GB 4G/3G/2G data,” the website says while describing the plan. So under this plan, Airtel offers the benefit of unlimited calls (local and STD) along with 1 GB data.
This is another step by Airtel, India’s largest telecom company, to compete with Jio and other service providers. Previously, it has launched plans priced in a way to provide voice and data benefits and included STVs or special tariff vouchers at Rs 149, Rs 349 and Rs 399. Under the Rs 1149 plan, Airtel offers unlimited Airtel calls + 2GB data with a validity of 28 days, according to its website. “Applicable only on 4G H/S (handset) & 4G SIM. T&C apply,” the website adds.
Meanwhile, Jio has recently brought some changes to its Rs 149 plan. Under the new Rs 149 plan, Jio is offering 2GB 4G internet data, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS, and mobile app access. However, after the 2GB data gets exhausted, Jio will still offer internet services, but at 64kbps speeds. Most of the other plans from Jio already had this option.

Apart from this, Jio also launched a new recharge plan at Rs 349, which comes with 20 GB of 4G data with a validity of 56 days without any daily limit. So, you can either exhaust the 20 GB data in one day or spend it over 56 days. To attract more customers, Jio had also extended its festive season offer for the sale of its 4G wi-fi device JioFi on Sunday morning.
“The festive celebration continues! Get your JioFi for a reduced price of Rs.999. Buy now- http://bit.ly/__offer,” Reliance Jio’s official handle @reliancejio said on Twitter. Under this offer, the JioFi device which is originally priced at Rs 1,999, is available for Rs 999 after a discount of Rs 1000. The offer which started on September 20 was about to end on 30th September but Jio has given you one more chance to avail it.
