Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today slammed the US expulsion of Cuban diplomats as "unjustified... unfounded and unacceptable," in a deepening row over mysterious attacks on staff at the in Havana.

Rodriguez told reporters he would protest the move to expel 15 Cuban diplomats, announced earlier Tuesday by US authorities who accuse Havana of failing to protect their American counterparts from harm in a series of attacks on their health.


"By these politically motivated and thoughtless actions, the US is responsible for the current and possibly future deterioration of bilateral relations," Rodriguez told a conference.
