It is a classic case of pot calling the kettle black, Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Wednesday said, on BJP’s ongoing ‘Janraksha Yatra’ in Kerala claiming that a huge cache of arms and bombs had been recovered from RSS centres in the State in the last few months.

“The entire cycle of violence that is currently on in Kerala was started by RSS from the day election results were announced. When they realised they failed to get support of people of Kerala out of frustration they threw bomb at Pinarayi Vijayan’s victory procession,” he said at a press conference here.

Its worker Ravindranath was killed in the attack.

The CPI(M) will be holding a nationwide protest on October 9 against the RSS. It presented a tally of its own casualties in the State.

As per them from 2000 to 2017, the Kerala police figures show that 85 CPI(M) workers were killed as opposed to 65 RSS workers.

The BJP held a protest at the CPI(M) headquarters here on Wednesday and threatened to do so till October 17 when its Kerala yatra would end. Mr. Yechury said it was nothing but intimidation.

CPI leader D. Raja said none can justify the political violence in Kerala and that the BJP should have held its ‘Janraksha Yatra’ in the States they govern.
