Govt transfers art & culture director after 10 years

Panaji: After serving as director for art & culture department for over a decade, Prasad Lolayekar, who was also member secretary of Goa Kala Academy, has been posted as full-time director of higher education, in a reshuffle of senior scale officiers of Goa Civil Service carried out on Wednesday. Lolayekar was given additional charge of the department earlier this year.

Gurudas Pilarnekar will be the new director of art and culture with additional charge as member secretary of Kala Academy, after he was relieved as registrar of cooperative societies. Sanjiv Gadkar will now serve as registrar of cooperative societies. Dattaram Sardessai, who was posted as director of public grievances, will now take over as director (admn) at Goa Medical College, a post held by Gadkar.

Member secretary of Goa State Pollution Control Board, Levinson Martins, will continue to hold that charge, while serving as director of science & technology. Deepali Naik has been posted as joint secretary (Protocol). Naik will also hold additional charge of the post of director of public grievances. Director of NRI Affairs, Melvyn Vaz will take over as secretary of Goa state election commission, and Shamsunder Parab will be director of NRI Affairs.

Ruhi Redkar, who was serving as director of women and child development, has been transferred as chief executive officer, North Goa zilla panchayat. Dipak Dessai, who was awaiting posting, will take charge as director of women and child development.

Custodian of evacuee property, Narayan Prabhudesai will continue to hold that charge, but will also take over as superintendent of central jail, Colvale. Rajendra Mirajkar has been posted as inspector general of prisons with additional charge of additional inspector general of prisons, relieving Siddivinayak Naik of this additional charge. Naik is now only managing director of Goa Housing Board. Surendra Naik will take charge as additional director of panchayat-I.

Dashrath Redkar has been transferred as additional collector sub district Bardez with additional charge of special land acquisition officer (SLAO), Mopa Airport.

Agnelo Fernandes, who was awaiting a posting, will now serve as chief officer of Mormugao Municipal Council. Pandharinath Naik will serve now as CEO of South Goa Zilla Panchayat with effect from November 1, 2017. He will also be member secretary of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. Florina Colaco has been posted as additional director of panchayat-II and Darshana Narulkar will be general manager directorate of industries, trade and commerce.

Jayant Tari, secretary, Goa Rehabilitation Board, will hold additional charge as director (admn), Kala Academy.
