8-yr-old molested, two held

BENGALURU: Hal police on Tuesday arrested two daily wage labourers for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl at a park in Malleshpalya. Passersby who heard the girl screaming informed police. The arrested are Jesudas ​​alias Babu (41) and Satish Kumar (19), residents of Vijinapura in KR Puram, who worked at a building construction site.

Police said the men had brought the girl to the park on their bike. The duo was sitting inside the park with the girl. Passersby noticed that the men were touching the girl inappropriately. Meanwhile, the girl started screaming and passersby called police who rushed to the spot. The men were booked under POCSO Act. Police said the men knew the girl as they worked with the girl’s mother who is a daily wage labourer. The men had previously also taken the child for rides on their bike.
