IndiaMart has own payment gateway for suppliers, buyers

NEW DELHI: In a bid to promote adoption of digital payments among small and medium enterprises, IndiaMart has introduced a payment gateway for its 3 million suppliers and over 40 million buyers, reports Surabhi Agarwal.
Dinesh Agarwal, founder of IndiaMART, told ET that through this gateway, the hassle of collecting payments in person for the sellers has been reduced.
Earlier, once an order has been placed through the IndiaMart portal, the supplier had to request for the money either in cash or through netbanking etc, which was not only cumbersome but also led to delays.
