For students, it is always learn, relearn and unlearn to hit the top score. But neither the educators nor parents or the students can do a predictive analysis about their future course of action for career development and the dilemma continues for generations. Hyderabad-based data analytics startup Egnify has developed a platform for actionable insights to help in student learning, suggest actions and make predictions.

Egnify offers a plug-and-play analytics and assessments platform on the cloud for educational institutions including schools, colleges and coaching institutes. This platform can help in understanding growth of students performance and provide them with individual concept level feedback to improve learning outcome. Teachers can use this platform to track overall classroom trends, individual student progress, as well as view performance trends in specific subjects. It offers cloud-based holistic student learning and performance improvement platform. The current problem in today’s education is that it is sequential but not integrative, generalised as as opposed to personalised teaching and assessments and the onus is on the student to analyse, revise and assess. “Our algorithm provides personalised learning plan and predictive analytics both at a student and class level through a gap analysis,” says Kiran Babu, Founder and CEO.

Egnify was founded in 2015 by Kiran Babu. He worked in multiple leadership roles at Google as Head of Operations and Business Analyst at Dell along with a Executive Management program from the Stanford University. With a strong passion to solve hard problems in a scalable way using technology, he has developed analytical learning solutions using technology and deep analytics providing easy-to-use data-analytical solutions and tools to educators, parents and students.

The company recently raised `1.6 crore as seed funding from a Dubai-based investor. Egnify will be using these funds to strengthen its product offering, build analytical and data science capabilities to further their mission of building the best student-centric learning and performance improvement platform. “Measuring the efficacy of learning outcomes is the key to succeed in the education space; Through our platform we do the heavy lifting for our clients, we measure, analyse and create predictive models that uniquely reflect the current and evolving state of student and class’s performance so that institutes can innovate with precision and at scale.” says Kiran Babu.

“We will be expanding our offering to test prep market, initially focussing on IIT JEE. We are building a product rooted in machine learning and data science, to enable educational institutes in providing students with concept based actionable analysis, feedback and recommendations to improve their performance. With almost 12 lakh students appearing for JEE in 2017, it’s a big opportunity for us to build a scalable product across web and mobile with paper and excel reports.”he adds.

We deliver our analysis at a student, class, subject, test, concept level through web app, mobile app, Excel reports and paper reports” says Kiran Babu.

Egnify currently has a team of 10 people from prestigious institutes like IIITs, NITs, IIMs and Stanford. They are helping 3,30,000 students, 28,000+ teachers in 400+ institutes across 28 cities in four states. Their target is to reach 10 lakh students in the next one year.
