HYDERABAD: Remember TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu’s Vision-2020? K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government too is preparing Telangana Vision-2024 document now. A preliminary document on it which will be readied in next three months time. TS was formed in 2014 and the 2024 document would be considered as “inception report”, according to officials. Recently, government chief advisor Rajiv Sharma conducted a review on preparation of vision document.

Chief minister articulated his vision for Bangaru Telangana and in this backdrop this vision 2024 document is being prepared, according to officials.  “The first step in the process of thinking about 2024 is to look back at 2014 and identify the position of the State on various objective and verifiable developmental indicators. Based on the progress that has made in the last three years, a mid-term review is to be undertaken so as to appraise the programmes in a thorough manner,” according to officials.

All the departments are grouped into 10 sectors for the purpose of bringing in synergy and due to similarity of programmes and policies. The sectors proposed include agriculture and allied, economy, governance, industry and IT, infrastructure, regional development, social sector (education), social sector (health), social sector (skills) and social sector (welfare). The first milestone to be achieved is preparation of the inception report for the state. It is proposed that this should be presented to the Cabinet during last week of October.
