PHILADELPHIA >> A Temple University student from New Jersey has died in a fall from a fifth-floor window at his dorm.

University officials say 19-year-old Richard Dalcourt died Tuesday morning at the campus in northern Philadelphia. He was a freshman mechanical engineering student from Plainsboro, New Jersey.

Police and the coroner’s office are investigating his death.

The school says counseling will be available to students who need it.
