Head constable Arun Kumar of Central Crime Branch (CCB) was injured when he tried to nab a rowdy Gururaj, a resident of Annapoorneshwari Nagar on Tuesday night.
Police said, "Gururaj was heading to avenge an attack by his rival gang rowdy Bharat who attacked his four months ago. Acting on a tip-off, the CCB official who visited Bharath's house to take him into custody. Bharath escaped as soon as CCB officials entered his house", police said.
Police added," Then Arun along with other constable were waiting near Muddinapalya junction and noticed Gururaj coming on the same route, "They followed him and tried to stop his car. But Gururaj hit and ran Arun and escaped," police added.
Arun sustained head injuries and was admitted to hospital and discharged later in the day. A team has been formed to nab Gururaj police said.
