After a 38-day long search for Gurmeet Ram Rahim's "angel" aide Honeypreet Insan, Haryana Police has finally arrested her and handed over to Panchkula Police.

The arrest came after Honeypreet gave an exclusive interview to India Today. In the interview, she broke her silence on a lot of issues including her questioned relationship with rapist Gurmeet Singh who she calls 'papaji'.

Honeypreet, who is in her mid-30, was wanted in rioting cases related to Panchkula violence among others. Panchkula Police Commissioner AS Chawla confirmed that she will be produced in court on October 4, 2017.

She was interrogated about the violence that took place after Gurmeet Singh's conviction till late night yesterday. However, around 1 30 am she complained of chest pain after which she was taken to Panchukla civil hospital.

During the checkup, her ECG came out to be normal but Honeypreet told the doctors that she usually takes a dose for migraine.

Before she was taken to the hospital, Honeypreet was interrogated for 4.5 hours by IG Mamata Singh and AS Chawla while a cameraman recorded everything. While she was given her food, all her statements were tallied.

After the interrogation, police found out that Honeypreet possessed international phone numbers through which she was in touch with Aditya, Pawan and Rohtash. She used to call and chat with them through WhatsApp.

After Honeypreet's arrest, Police commissioner AS Chawla has asked two female sub-inspector, SIT incharge Mukesh Malhotra, and Chandimandir police station incharge to remain on duty.
