Tollywood stars Prabhas and Anushka Shetty have been friends for nearly a decade now and they have also shared screen space many times in the past. However, following director SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion, looks like everyone wants them to become a real couple.

Ever since Baahubali 2 released and became India’s biggest earner globally, the rumour mills have been in overdrive alleging a romantic relationship between Prabhas and Anushka. The latest rumour is that the Baahubali stars are all set to get engaged in December. It was speculated that Anushka was on a weight-loss regime in view of her upcoming engagement with Prabhas. Of course, the news was officially not confirmed.

Prabhas and Anushka have repeatedly denied any romantic relationship between them. But, the rumour-creators never cease to amaze.

Recently, while talking to a Hindi portal, Prabhas clearly stated that Anushka was a family friend and there was nothing more to their relationship. He also said while in the beginning, he used to be upset about such rumours but now they don’t bother him.

“Both me and Anushka had decided that no matter what, we won’t let reports linking us up appear. Arrey baba, we’re family friends since the past 9 years. We’re very good friends. We know each other since a long time but when these reports surface sometimes, then even I begin thinking, ‘Is there something between us or what?’,” Prabhas told DNA.

“We know there’s nothing of that sort between both of us. This isn’t anything new. Whenever any actress works with an actor again, more than once, people start linking their names,” he added.

On the work front, Anushka is currently working on her upcoming film Bhagmati, which is bankrolled by UV Creations, which is also producing Prabhas’ Saaho.
