Job Description:

1. Dispensing medications to in patients, Issuing departmental indents, Short listing the items required, Quarterly stock taking, arranging drugs according to storage conditions, Expiry check periodically, receiving medicines from supplier.
2. Stock check should be carried out maintaining the protocol of perpetual inventory.
3. Filing of patient issues/department issues daily basis.
4. Recording of Short items in short book register.
5. Checking of Expiry is mandatory as per the schedule given and storing it separately from the regular stock.
6. Checking Narcotic registers daily basis for stock & related systems.
7. Narcotic, Conc. Electrolytes, Drug return registers should be updated with columns, rows.
8. Pharmacist working in general shift clears all departmental issues on the same day itself.
9. Updating of drug returns records and relevant documentation.
10. Any local purchase required for urgent drugs.
11. Staff rotation, change in duties,leaves to be approved.
