NEW DELHI: Build unisex toilets for the disabled in each block covered under the Swachh Bharat Mission and get a disabled person to inaugurate these toilets so as to check their “practical viability”, PM Modi has said in directions issued after a review of the government’s ‘Accessible India’ programme for the disabled.
Following the review last week, the PM asked why government websites have not been made “disabled-friendly” so far and impressed upon secretaries of ministries that this can be done at the earliest, officials said.
