Minerva Punjab FC sign Dano, Aidara

Dano has joined the Minerva Punjab FC team from Ligue 1 (top division of Federation Ivorienne de Football) where he played for Jeunesse Club d’Adidjan.

City club Minerva Punjab FC have signed 28-year-old defender Guy Eric Dano from Cote D’Ivoire and Kassim Aidara from Senegal ahead of the Hero I-League season. Earlier this month, the club had signed three foreign players and with this addition, the team now has a total of five foreign players.

Dano has joined the Minerva Punjab FC team from Ligue 1 (top division of Federation Ivorienne de Football) where he played for Jeunesse Club d’Adidjan. 30-year-old Kassim Aidara was born in Germany and holds dual citizenship of France and Senegal and the mid-fielder had earlier honed his skills at Germany’s Jenfelder SV, SC Concordia von 1907 and France’s Ligue 2 team Paris FC. Adiara has also played for New Zealand’s Wellington United AFC and played in the Capital Premier League apart from playing for German club Niendorfer TSV in the Hamburger Oberliga. Aidara also played for USC Paloma in the same league and also played in Luneburger SK Hansa apart from playing in the Estonian Esilliga club JK Talimma Kalev. Previously, Minerva Punjab FC had signed Japanese mid-fielder Toshiyo Hosoe, Belarussian Dzmitry kowb and Ghana’s William Opoku Asiedu.

Minerva Punjab FC scored a 3-0 win over DAlbir FC in their opening match in the 31st Punjab Football league at Minerva academy grounds, Chandigarh earlier.  Rannvijay becomes co-owner of Minerva Punjab FC

Meanwhile bollywood actor and anchor Rannvijay Sangha has become the co-owner of the Minerva Punjab FC. Rannvijay, who contested in Roadies 1 along with Minerva Punjab FC owner Ranjeet Bajaj, also owns Rocksport Challenge, an adventure sports company. Moinuddin scored a brace for the winning team while Walliam Opoko scored one goal for the winning team in the match.
