RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be attending the 1000th birth anniversary celebrations of Ramanuj Swami Maharaj, a Vaishvanite saint at the Chandwa village in Ara district on Wednesday but at different times of the day.
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be attending the 1000th birth anniversary celebrations of Ramanuj Swami Maharaj, a Vaishvanite saint at the Chandwa village in Ara district on Wednesday. However, the itinerary for the event has been planned in a manner such that the two leaders don't get to face each other.
Bhagwat, who will be reaching Patna airport on Wednesday morning, will straightaway leave for Ara, 60 kms from state capital Patna to attend the event. Bhagwat will be participating in the birth anniversary celebrations at 4 pm.
On the other hand, Nitish will be reaching Chandwa village at 11 am tomorrow and thereafter leave for Patna. This means that both leaders, who have avoided a face-off in the past also, will once again not face each other despite the event.
On the sidelines of the event, Bhagwat will also attend the International Dharm Sansad where saints and seers from various parts of the country will be present. Bhagwat will be halting in Ara at night. On 5th October, he will be attending the ground-breaking ceremony of the new RSS office in Chandwa village in Ara. Thereafter, he will return to Patna and fly to Delhi.
It may be noted that Nitish was critical of the RSS chief ahead of the 2015 Bihar assembly elections when the latter had advocated reviewing the reservation policy in the country.
