Although it was earlier reported that talks with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra for playing parallel leads alongside Salman Khan in Race 3 were on, Emraan Hashmi seems to be the one who has benefited. According to a DNAreport, Hashmi has been signed to play the other lead in the film and will be paired opposite Daisy Shah.

As per earlier reports, both Kapur and Malhotra were eager to come on board after their latest releases tanked at the box office. Desperate for a hit, the two apparently had no qualms about being on the periphery in the upcoming action-thriller.
However with Hashmi, things have been different on the career front. He was last seen in Baadshaho, which did exceptionally well at the box office, considering 2017 has not been a great year for Hindi films.
The Raaz actor has starred alongside Ajay Devgn in both Baadshaho and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, and reportedly has no apprehensions about working with a big star.
While there is no official word of confirmation on these developments, what's confirmed is that Jacqueline Fernandez will be starring opposite Khan. The film is slated to go on floors this month.
