Srinagar attack: BSF jawan among 3 killed, Jaish-e-Mohammad's Afzal Guru Gang claims responsibility

Suicide attack on BSF camp at Srinagar

Suicide attackers with explosives broke into a Border Security Force camp near Srinagar airport in the early hours of the day on Tuesday.

According to police sources the attackers entered the 182 battalion camp in Humhama area around 4.30 am. Firing is still on in the area.

Two militants were killed and four troopers injured after a terror attack. The four injured BSF troopers were shifted to a hospital, one of whom succumbed to injuries.

Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed's "Afzal Guru squad" has claimed the attack.  

Vehicular traffic has been suspended in the area. The security forces said that they sealed all possible escape routes.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called for a high level security meeting in New Delhi later on Tuesday to discuss the overall security situation.
