BJP national president Amit Shah is in Kannur district’s Payyannur, hometown of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, to participate in the party’s ambitious ‘Janaraksha yatra’. BJP’s 15-day padyatra will span across 154 km, covering 11 districts of Kerala. The padyatra is BJP’s first major public demonstration in Kerala as it attempts to make inroads into the state’s electoral politics.

1.30 pm: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address the Janraksha yatra tomorrow.
