One of the calmest inmates in the Bigg Boss 11 house till now has definitely been Hiten Tejwani. Before getting on the show, the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor shared with indianexpress.com that he plans to learn cooking during his stay. He also quipped that among all controversial housemates, he would be the nice one.

Bigg Boss – a show that’s filled with drama, controversy, fights and romance has hit the television screens and already become a talking point. The eleventh season hosted by Salman Khan, has once again opened its doors for celebs and commoners. Adding to that, are the four padosis who promise to make life difficult for the housemates. One of the calmest inmates in the house till now has definitely been Hiten Tejwani. It would be really interesting to see the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor, who is known for his simple and sweet personality, testing his patience as tempers flare around him.

Before moving into the show, Hiten had an exclusive fun conversation with indianexpress.com where he shared his excitement of doing the reality show. He confessed that even though he has not even picked a glass in his house, he is looking forward to enjoy the household chores. “I will try my best to learn cooking from the other housemates. If not that, at least I will master the art of cutting vegetables (laughs). I really plan to impress my friends and family once I am out with my new found culinary skills.”

Hiten, who shared that he hasn’t really watched Bigg Boss, did catch on last year’s episodes to get a hint of the game. Even though he doesn’t have an issue staying under the same roof with commoners, he did feel that they outstretched their boundaries last year. “Since they have nothing to lose, they did indulge in too much of negative activities. They really did their homework well. I just hope this year it’s a much better gang. I am not really an image conscious person and people are kind of tell me to behave like an actor or a celeb. I have decided I will have fun but if someone steps out, I will definitely stand up for the right,” he said with a confident tone.

An actor, whose life has never been marred with any controversy, might seem unfit for Bigg Boss and Hiten had an explanation to this. With his inimitable smile, the actor chirped, “Sab ke beech, ek to accha hona chaiye (One should be sane among all controversial people). To be honest I haven’t really thought about this for I feel there is no one who is controversial, it’s the situation that creates a buzz. I will take everything as it comes and react only when I feel that I can’t take it anymore.”

Since there was a buzz that his wife actor Gauri Pradhan would also join him, we asked if having her would have made things easier for him. He shared with a laugh, “Of course, it would have been fun to have her but then if anyone would have been mean to me, either that person or Gauri would have been out of the show. She is very protective about her family and sar phod deti woh toh (she would break their head). Now that she would only be watching it, I would only have to bear the expenses of some broken television screen.”

The couple is blessed with twins – a boy and a girl and for Hiten, staying away from them would be the most difficult thing. “It’s going to be a difficult test for me and I am really nervous about that. I will miss them terribly and all these years even when we have been away, we are always connected via phones and video calls. But that’s not allowed in the Bigg Boss house, so let’s see how it goes,” he concluded before hurrying up for his entry act.
