25 years of India-ASEAN relations: INS Kadmatt, INS Satpura arrive in Philippines for 4-day goodwill visit

    The Indian Navy vessels INS Kadmatt (P29) and INS Satpura (F48) arrive for a four-day goodwill visit, which aims to strengthen ties between India and the Philippines, prepare to dock at Manila's South Harbor. In their statement, the goodwill visit "aims to enhance and strengthen mutual relations between the two countries which also marks the 25th year of India-ASEAN relations.

    INS Satpura commanded by Captain Rahul Shankar, and INS Kadmatt commanded by Commander Nithin Cariappa, departed from Visakhapatnam on September 8, for a deployment of more than three months, to visit 12 ports in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Brunei and Russia.     During this deployment, the ships will participate in the International Fleet Review hosted by the Association of South East Asian Countries (ASEAN) at Thailand, and will visit Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei to commemorate the 25th anniversary of India-ASEAN dialogue.
