Suspected militants entered the 182 battalion of the BSF camp near the Srinagar Airport outside the Airforce station at Gogo Humhama.
Three Fidayeen attackers are believed to have entered the BSF camp.
According to reports, heavy blasts and firing are underway between the militants and security forces. The BSF camp is situated close to the Srinagar Civil and Technical airport.
The BSF is guarding one side of the airport's outer ring.
