When India Today asked her what did Honeypreet Insan have to say about being portrayed as a villain and a conspirator in the Ram Rahim case, she said that she was depressed after the verdict and not guilty of the violence that broke out following the godman's conviction.
Honeypreet Insan, the so-called adopted daughter of convicted godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who had been evading arrest for well over a month, has been found now.
When India Today asked her what did she have to say about being portrayed as a villain and a conspirator in the case, Honeypreet said that she was innocent and not guilty of the violence that broke out following the godman's conviction.
Honeypreet wondered what was she being accused of when she had only performed her duty as a daughter and gone to jail with her father. "Where have you seen me speak even a word on riots. I was so depressed after the court's verdict. I went into depression. I only, like any daughter of any family would have, went with my father", she said.
Honeypreet added, "On the day of the verdict, we went to the court, believing that everything would be fine and that we would be back in the evening. But after hearing the verdict, I went into a state of shock. So how do you think I could have been behind any crime".
