Two persons - a mother and her son - died on the spot when a lightning hit them while working in the field. The incident took place at Abbenda in Narayanakhed mandal on Monday evening. According to sources, mother Shakuntala (35) and her son Chandrakanth (17) died on the spot. Another person Rajappa was seriously injured when he fell from the roof top after hearing the sudden sound of thunder. He was shifted to government hospital in Sangareddy for treatment.
