PRIME ACCUSED Balraj Singh Randhawa is still on the run and police have failed to make any breakthrough although eight months have passed since Akansh Sen was murdered.

Randhawa, who has been declared a proclaimed offender (PO), is resident of Akal Ashram Colony at Sohana in Mohali. He is a native of Hansali village in Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab. His 19 marla land, located at Hansali village, has also been attached by the court. Police have also announced a reward of Rs 50,000 against Randhawa that dates back to March.

“Huge properties, including the ancestral property of Randhawa, were found registered in the name of Randhawa’s mother, Ramanjeet Kaur, who resides at Akal Ashram Colony, Sohana, in Mohali. Property details of Randhawa have been provided by the revenue departments of Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib districts, etc,” said sources.

Incidentally, Randhawa’s maternal grandfather died in April. Randhawa is the youngest brother of his two elder sisters, who are settled abroad.
