CM reviews situation

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked officials to be on alert in view of the heavy downpour that lashed the city on Monday. Reviewing the situation with Municipal Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy and City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, Mr. Rao directed them to carry out rescue operations in low-lying areas and to keep the official machinery on alert throughout the night in order to face any emergency situation. He also urged the general public not to venture out unless there is an emergency, a press release from the GHMC said.
