Ahead of the Assembly election in Gujarat scheduled this year, BJP president Amit Shah trained guns at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Porbandar.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah took a swipe at Congress vice-president and said that to see development in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi must wear Gujarati glasses and not the ones made in Italy.
"Rahul should wear Gujarati spectacles and not the ones made in Italy, then he will see the development in Gujarat," Amit Shah said in Porbandar today.
Ahead of the Assembly election in Gujarat scheduled this year, Amit Shah trained guns at Rahul Gandhi and said, "If Rahul dreams of Gujarat, then to realise those dreams, he must visit Porbandar and not Italy".
The BJP president said that the Assembly election in Gujarat will be held in the first week of December.
Amit Shah had kicked off the party's mass outreach initiative 'Gujarat Gaurav Yatra' on Sunday to highlight the state's achievements during the two decades of the BJP rule ahead of the Assembly election in the state.
The yatra was launched from Karamsad, which is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's native place. "The BJP today launches Gujarat Gaurav Yatra from the same land of Sardar Patel from where he raised the voice of the farmers and started the work to unify the country," Amit Shah said.
The BJP's Gujarat Gaurav Yatra will continue till October 15 and during this period 138 jan sabhas will be addressed. While one tour route will be led by Gujarat's deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, the other will be led by BJP's Gujarat chief Jitubhai Vaghani.
The yatra comes close on the heels of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's three-day visit to the Saurashtra region last week.
