Budget carrier AirAsia India has launched a discounted fares scheme, aimed towards travellers planning their year-end holidays. AirAsia is offers customers tickets at starting ticket prices as low as Rs 1,299 for domestic travel and Rs 2,399 for international flights. Bookings for this AirAsia India offer opened on October 2 and will remain open till October 15. The AirAsia offer is applicable for travel between October 2 and March 31. The destinations covered under this AirAsia India's special offer include Bengaluru, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, New Delhi, among others.

AirAsia India's website showed the Rs 1,299 offer applicable on Bhubaneswar-Kolkata route. The website showed Rs 1,299 tickets available for travel next month.

Starting fares on some other routes include: Delhi-Goa from Rs 2999, Delhi-Ranchi Rs 2,999 Delhi-Bengaluru Rs 3499, Delhi-Kolkata Rs 3199, Bengaluru-Bhubaneswar Rs 2499 and Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam Rs 1999.

AirAsia India's offer on international travel


Fares from as low as Rs 2,399 are available for international travel to Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, Auckland as well as to more than 120 other global destinations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the Middle East.

Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights, AirAsia said on its website, adding that no refunds are permitted after payment has been made. AirAsia on its website also said that a non-refundable processing fee is applicable for payments via credit, debit or charge card.

Other airlines are also expected to come up with offers to lure customers ahead of the year-end holidays. Discounted fares by airlines has spurred a strong growth in air travel in India with passengers carried by domestic airlines during January-August 2017 rising to 754 lakh, a growth of 17 per cent as compared to the same period last year.
