Happy birthday Asha Parekh: Rare photos of The Hit Girl

Asha Parekh was the original winged eyeliner girl, long before it became a style statement.

Asha Parekh recently penned her life story in her autobiography titled The Hit Girl.

Asha Parekh had also shared in an interview with indianexpress.com that if ever a film is made on her, then the lead actor has to be Alia Bhatt. "Alia Bhatt will be the right person. She is chulbul – all bubbly kind of girl – which I used to be during my growing up years," said Asha.

Asha Parekh suffered from depression for a long time. Thus, on being asked if Bollywood or the film industry is a lonely place, she had said, "My darling, when you are on top, you are always alone."

Asha had said that the late filmmaker Nasir Hussain was the only man she ever loved.

"It is not that I did not want to get married but then all those matches which were coming for me, things did not work. It did not happen but I think I am happy as single," said Asha.

The 74-year-old actor had worked with the best in the industry like Rajesh Khanna, Shammi Kapoor and many others in her career.
