BENGALURU: Several parts of Bengaluru received moderate to heavy rain on Sunday, which again led to waterlogging, tree felling and traffic jams.Three people escaped with minor injuries after a tree fell on car at Gandhinagar near National Market. Fire personnel rushed to the spot and cleared the road.
Waterlogging incident was reported from Mayo Hall junction. Slow moving traffic was reported on Ballari Road, Hosur Road, K R Circle,  Mekhri Circle and Magadi Road.

According to KSNDMC, on Sunday, 76mm per hour rain was recorded from 7.30pm to 7.45pm at Nagarabhavi while 62mm per hour rain was recorded from 3.45pm to 4pm at Yelahanka.
G S Srinivas Reddy, director, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), said, “Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in the city over the next two days. Northern part of the city is expected to receive heavy rain, especially the Yelahanka region.”

“Northern, Southern and coastal parts of Karnataka is expected to receive heavy rainfall in the next few days,” he added. He also added that this week’s rainfall is due to cyclonic circulation over Karnataka and the existence of a trough - an elongated region of low barometric pressure over Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. He said that there is another depression in the Bay of Bengal, which can also influence the rainfall in the state.
