Indore: Police booked some unidentified thieves for burglary at a locked house in Annapurna area on Saturday. According to police, the complainant Jyoti Rawat reported that unidentified person sneaked into her house through the rear window on late Friday night when she was away and decamped with one gold ring, silver jewellery, one LCD screen and Rs 5,000 cash.
She discovered the theft on her return and immediately reported the incident to police. Police have registered a case against unidentified accused in the incident. In another similar incident, complainant Dilip Borse alleged that valuables were stolen from his locked house at Nanda Nagar under Pardesipura police station area on Saturday morning. According to reports, the thieves broke into the locked house and took away gold ornaments, three silver coins and jewellery and around Rs 40,000 cash. Police are investigating the incident.
Man booked for extortion, thrashing victim
Police booked a man for attempting to extort money and attacking a 48-year-old man in Raoji Bazaar area on Saturday. According to police, the complainant Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Gaytri Nagar alleged that Akram, a resident of South Toda along with his friend stopped him at a petrol pump on Jawahar Marg and started demanding money for purchasing petrol. When the victim denied the accused started abusing and beating him. When the fight escalated the accused attacked the victim with iron rod, causing severe injuries, said police. The victim was immediately rushed to hospital.
Three beaten up over petty issues
A 40-year-old man was thrashed by his neighbour over some petty issue in Kulkarni Ka Bhatta area on Saturday. According to Pardesipura police, complainant Nirmal Thakur alleged that his nephew Prince constructed a Ravana statue for Dussehra, when his neighbour Vicky Dhankar attempted to set it on fire. When the complainant tried to stop the accused he started abusing and beating him and later, attacked him with some blunt object, causing severe injuries to his wrist and waist. When the local residents intervened the accused fled from the scene. Police have registered a case in the incident. In another incident, complainant Komal Shukla, a resident of Scheme Number 78 was allegedly thrashed and threatened by accused Ashu Thakur and two of his unidentified accomplices over a dispute in Vijay Nagar area on Saturday. Similarly, complainant Sameer Khubani (18) in his complaint alleged that the accused Lokesh Makhija, a resident of Khatiwala Tank and Hitesh Ramchandani, a resident of Shiv Dham Colony thrashed and threatened him over some petty issue at Sindhi Colony main road under Juni Indore police station jurisdiction area on Saturday.
Youth stabbed for refusing liquor money
A 26-year-old youth was stabbed by two persons following an altercation under Khajrana police station area on Saturday. According to police, the victim Mohammad, a resident of Shalimar Colony in his complaint alleged that Zafar, a resident of Jalla Colony and Raja, a resident of Shalimar Colony visited his shop and started demanding Rs 1000 for purchasing liquor. When the victim denied the accused started abusing and beating him. The victim tried to convince them but the accused stabbed him with a sharp edged object, causing injury to his leg and later they threatened to kill him if he again denied giving them money in future, police said. The victim was rushed to the hospital and police were informed, which have registered a case against the accused.
