Sasikala applies for 15 days parole to meet her ailing husband in TN

Sidelined AIADMK leader VK Sasikala, who was lodged in Bengaluru jail after getting convicted in disproportionate asset case, has filed a plea for parole to meet her ailing husband M Natrajan, who was suffering from liver disease.

Sasikala's nephew and ousted leader TTV Dhinakaran here on Sunday said that her aunt applied for parole and would see her husband very soon.

"We have formally applied for parole with the jail authorities. She might even come out on parole tomorrow itself", he added.

According to him, Sasikala's advocates have sought 15 days parole for her. Sasikala's spouse Natarajan, who was admitted in Gleneagles Global Health City, has a history of a chronic liver disease and he has been receiving treatment for the last six months for his illness.

Gleneagles Global Health City sources said Natrajan has been registered with the Tamilnadu Organ Sharing (TNOS) waiting list for deceased donor liver transplantation.

"Currently, he is admitted to the liver intensive care unit with decompensated liver disease leading to liver failure, kidney failure and lung congestion", hospital sources said.

He was receiving dialysis and other intensive care therapies. He is being taken care by liver specialists headed by world-renowned liver transplant surgeon Dr Mohamed Rela.
