Verla Canca offers online tax payment
TNN | Oct 3, 2017, 03:09 ISTMapusa: The Verla Canca panchayat, on Monday, became the first in North Goa to take payment of various taxes online, WRD minister Vinod Paleykar said. Panchayat also launched its website. To facilitate online payment, the panchayat has associated with the HDFC Bank.
The panchayat website is designed to provide all details like prominent personalities, information about various taxes, details of households, among others. Villagers can download various forms — residential, birth and death certificate, RTI — from the website, which will also make the status of the application forms available.
Local MLA and water resources minister Vinod Palienkar launched the website and online payment gateway in presence of block development officer Krishnakant Pangam, HDFC officials and the panchayat body.
