An FIR was filed against TTV Dhinakaran and 36 others in Salem for distributing pamphlets slamming Central and state governments over NEET issue.

The FIR was filed by one KRS Saravanan in Annadanapatty Police Station in Salem.

Saravanan said that on 29th September, a group of Dhinakaran supporters distributed pamphlets to public, which carried misleading information about NEET and was instigating the people to protest against the government.

Saravanan also stated that when he confronted the group, they threaten him. So, based on his complaint an FIR was filed under Sections, 143 (Unlawful assembly), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 124A (sedition), 153 (promoting enmity), 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (2) (criminal intimidation).

Ground reports from Salem stated that it was due to ego clash between CM EPS and TTV that the pamphlets were distributed in CM's hometown, and that too at a time when the CM is preparing to celebrate party founder's centenary birthday celebrations.
