Las Vegas shooting: Police confirm shooter was local; search for his female roommate, car on

The Las Vegas police confirmed that the shooter was a local and a search for his female roommate at Mandalay Bay, and for the car they used, is on.

The latest update on the Las Vegas shooting incident confirmed that at least 20 people died and over 100 people were injured after a shooter opened fire at the crowds assembled to enjoy a concert organised at the Mandalay Bay casino as part of the Las Vegas Music Festival. 

The official Twitter handle of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has been active and sharing information with the public. The Sheriff of the LVMPD Joseph Lombardo briefed the media a while ago and confirmed the figures.The Las Vegas police tweeted about two vehicles they are trying to locate in relation with the investigation about the shooter. In a tweet, the LVMPD said, "We're searching for two vehicles associated with the shooter: Hyundai Tucson Nevada/114B40 and a Chrysler Pacifica Nevada/79D401." And in a subsequent tweet, said they are in search of a woman -- Marilou Danley -- who is said to have been the shooter's roommate at Mandalay Bay.

A Twitter user tweeted saying, "Marilou Danley was seen at Mandalay Bay with the suspect," and said that both the suspect and Marilou are 62 years old. The user said the police finds this 'unusual' for 'mass shooters'.
