15:32 EDT 2 Oct 2017 | PR Newswire

LONG BEACH, Calif. and PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Molina Healthcare, Inc.(NYSE:MOH) a leading provider of Medicaid Managed Services and Sandata Technologies, LLC, an industry leader in technology solutions to the Home Care industry, announced the execution of a national agreement for Sandata to exclusively provide Electronic Visit Verification ("EVV") services for Molina's Home and Community Based programs.  Molina's decision to designate Sandata as its exclusive EVV provider, is based on Molina's corporate focus of increasing compliance to care plans, improving quality of service for their members, and increasing overall program efficiency within their home care provider networks.

Molina will be using a combination of Sandata's advanced EVV technologies including the Santrax® Payor Management solution. The solutions are highlighted by Sandata's "Assured Coverage" program that will enable Molina to validate visit information electronically in a variety of patient settings regardless of whether they have a landline or cell phone coverage. This includes Sandata's Santrax® Telephonic Visit Verification which uses Automated Number Identification ("ANI) technology to validate visits, Santrax®Fixed Visit Verification, which uses patented technology to verify visits when no landline or cell phone service is available, and Santrax®Mobile Visit Verification which offers an option of mobile devices with GPS to track visits and field worker activity. Caregivers will also use biometric voice identification, a "fingerprinting" process in which the caregiver provides voice authentication through the Santrax®Speaker Verification system. The Santrax®Payor Management solution offers additional capabilities that provides visibility across a jurisdiction which aids in increasing compliance, claims accuracy, and eliminating inappropriately billed services.

According to Tim Skeen, Molina Chief Technology Officer, "Molina is excited to partner with Sandata on our EVV initiative to support our focus on driving quality services in a challenging financial climate. Molina reviewed the landscape of technology providers, and chose Sandata to be its National EVV partner due to the breath of their technology and their proven experience working with payors such as Molina and multiple state Medicaid programs."

According to Tom Underwood, Sandata's Chief Executive Officer, "Sandata applauds Molina for their vision in maintaining and improving their already high standards for quality of service delivery while addressing increasing cost pressures.
