Reliance Jio has brought slight changes to its Rs 149 recharge plan. Jio has completed one year since its entry into the Indian market and it has regularly brought new updates, especially on tariffs. While Jio is all set to roll out the much awaited Jio Phones, there are other offers from the company available as well. There is a Diwali special offer on JioFi devices from Reliance Jio. But apart from that, there have been a few changes in the tariff plans as well, that you might not have noticed. One of the key upgrades has been in the basic Rs 149 recharge plan from Reliance Jio.
Under the new Rs 149 plan, Jio is offering 2GB 4G internet data, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS, and mobile app access. However, after the 2GB data gets exhausted, Jio will still offer internet services, but at 64kbps speeds. According to the earlier Jio Rs 149 tariff plan, there was no data available after the FUP limit got crossed. But now the post FUP speed is 64kbps. It should be noted that most of the other plans already have this feature. According to those plans, Jio users get a speed of 128kbps when the data is exhausted. While the difference may seem large, yet it’s good news for low data consumption customers.
