After two days of continuous deliberation, the Agra police has finally filed a criminal case against 80 activists of VHP and Bajrang Dal for firing bullets indiscriminately near the Amar Singh Gate of Agra Fort, endangering the lives of hundreds of people.

In an brazen display of callousness and lack of respect for law, 100-150 Hindu activists had assembled at the Ramlila grounds on Dussehra, just across the road from the Agra Fort - a popular tourist attraction. The assembly was in clear contravention of Section 144 CrPC, which forbids the assembly of more than 5 people at one place.

After the pooja was completed, a large crowd of participants, identifiable from the saffron scarves, started firing in the air creating panic among the tourists assembled, who feared it was a terrorist attack.
