19:03 EDT 1 Oct 2017 | PR Newswire

FORT BRAGG, Calif., Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Doctors who want to live and work in paradise just might be interested in this opening in primary care, internal medicine or family practice at the North Coast Family Health Center on the Mendocino Coast in Fort Bragg, California. The only drawback: the dramatic scenery and relaxed lifestyle might make working indoors difficult ... it's that beautiful!

The North Coast Family Health Center, a multi-specialty rural health clinic, is owned by Mendocino Coast District Hospital (MCDH), a 25-bed critical access hospital rich in technology and talent. The hospital features a new state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, telemedicine robot, a clinical lab, echocardiography team (with ICAEL-certified lab), an extensive wellness program, 5-Star HealthGrades rated hip replacement surgery program, rehabilitation center, and 24-hour emergency department. Interested providers must be Board Certified, and hold a current California medical license.

Quality of Life

We have an opening for a full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician, working in a busy multi-specialty, provider-based rural health clinic known for its high quality patient care.  The physician will see 18-24 patients per day, 5 days per week, outpatient only, with no weekends or in-person call required.

This is an Independent Contractor opportunity, with competitive compensation of $160,000 and up, based on RBRVU with bonuses for higher productivity.

As part of a group practice, the physician works in cooperation with a talented, multi-specialty team of physicians and nurse practitioners.  Teaching and supervision of nurse practitioners is available.

The provider must be Board Certified, and hold a current CA medical license.

"I've lived and practiced here for the past 17 years, and I've enjoyed basing my career in this multi-specialty clinic that provides very high quality patient care," says David Newell, MD, Endocrinologist and North Coast Family Health Center Medical Director.  "I have found my practice to be extremely satisfying, and my interaction with provider colleagues stimulating.  I have the joys of a small town practice backed by the support of specialists and technology found in much larger, urban settings."
